A few bowls and another acquisition.

I began my day with a nice bowl of Escudo Navy De Luxe in the Matches860 Friday Savinelli 673. Every bowl I have of Escudo I can't help but think, "this stuff is actually going to improve with time." It is so fantastic fresh that it's hard to believe it will get better. I have 22 tins cellared and I intend to add more as sales pop up.
Later on I enjoyed some C&D Sunday Picnic in a Peterson Rosslare 999 with a yellow saddle fishtail stem. A stunning pipe that smokes beautifully. Sunday Picnic is one of those sleeper blends that is simply a pleasure each time I pack a bowl. The components tobaccos play so well together and the casing is light and doesn't cover the natural tobacco flavors.
Along the way I also enjoyed some Bernard's nasal snuff. This one is a fine schmalzler that is savory, salty, meaty and boozy to perfection. I have 4 more tap boxes of it on the way and I'm sure I'll need more in short order. This stuff is a daily treat.
Later I finally placed an order for my first Falcon Pipe after reading many glowing reviews. I opted for the straight Hunter stem in black with an ebony briar bowl. I also purchased some pipe cleaners and moisture wicking rings as well which included another Czech tool, you can never have too many.
As you can see, I should have the lot within the week.

Additionally, I received my drill press today so work on my pipe racks may begin tomorrow pending the results of my honey do list...we shall see. All is well in tobacco paradise. Enjoy some great smokes!
